Destrie is an exceptional advocate and dedicated partner to Red River Children’s Advocacy Center, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the children and families she serves. She goes above and beyond—not only excelling in her role as a child protection worker but also embodying our mission through her time, expertise, and compassion.
Destrie has worked as a child protection worker at Cass Human Service Zone for over six years. From the beginning, she quickly became one of the team’s most knowledgeable and trusted members. Her ability to connect with individuals in any environment has made her a respected liaison among communit members and service providers alike.
In addition to her casework, Destrie has played a crucial role in mentoring new and existing team members at Cass Human Service Zone. As a former unit trainer, she developed a new training guide and module for the Child Protection Unit, streamlining onboarding and making the process more efficient and user-friendly. Her leadership and expertise have earned her the respect of colleagues, service providers, and the families she serves—allowing her to be a truly effective advocate for children’s safety and well-being. Destrie’s partnership with RRCAC has been invaluable. She is relentless in ensuring children and families receive essential resources, consistently referring cases for forensic interviews and mental health assessments. Her deep understanding of mental health needs and her fierce dedication to positive outcomes set her apart. She spends the time needed to safety plan with families, offering empathetic support while making sure every child she works with has the best chance at a brighter future.
