Morning Show Host – Bob 95 FM
We are honored to recognize Chris Hanson as our May Hero of the Month.
Chris isn’t just a familiar voice on the radio—he’s a cherished advocate, energetic emcee, and a longtime supporter of the Red River Children’s Advocacy Center. For years, Chris has generously donated his time and talents to raise awareness, funding, and support for our mission.
Whether he’s emceeing our annual Gala, lending his voice to a promotional video, or helping spread the word through radio and community outreach, Chris shows up with heart, humor, and a deep commitment to the kids we serve.
Chris has co-hosted the beloved morning show Chris, John & Cori for 24 years—one of the most listened-to morning shows in the region and a multiple-time winner of InForum’s Best of the Red River Valley. He’s also been a national TV commentator for Heartland Poker Tour and Poker Night in America. For all the hats he wears (and he wears a lot), he always finds time to give back. Married to Erika, Chris is a proud dad of four. He’s an avid golfer in the summer, ice fisher in the winter, and full-time sports fanatic year-round. A devoted NDSU Bison fan, Chris also hosts Bison Hotline, a post-game radio show—and is hilariously known for his rivalry with SDSU, which has led to unforgettable on-air bets (including painting his chest Jackrabbit blue and buying breakfast for Jackrabbit fans in Brookings).
As the emcee of the RRCAC Gala, Chris brings his signature energy, warmth, and charisma to the stage—ensuring not only a successful event, but a memorable experience for all who attend. His efforts behind the scenes are just as impactful. He’s lent his voice and presence to countless promotional videos, commercials, and radio interviews, all in support of ending child abuse and advocating for the healing work done at RRCAC. His style and approach command attention, inspire action, and bring people into our mission.
Most recently, Chris donated his time to record for a Children’s Advocacy Centers of ND campaign, once again showing that his support is ongoing and heartfelt. His energy is infectious, this partnership invaluable, and his belief in our mission unwavering.
Thank you, Chris, for your passion, your voice, and the difference you make every time you step up for RRCAC. We are truly honored to recognize you as our May Hero of the Month. You are a powerful force for good—and we’re so grateful to have you by our side.
